I really loved this Gamo Bone Collector, right out of the box. I also bought a Hatsan M95 Vortex since it was supposed to be a competitive quality gun with a walnut stock. The finish would flake off under your fingernail, and came with blemishes. Groupings were terrible too.
The Gamo, on the other hand, had a flawless finish on the stock, and it seems at least reasonably durable. I boresighted it, then fired 3 shots to sight it in, and it was already a tack driver. My next 25 shots, I did 5 groups of 5 ranging from 3/4" to 1/2" has I got used to it. The magazine loading worked without issue. The scope had pretty decent clarity in the ranges applicable to air rifles. I don't see a reason to upgrade the scope right now. The trigger feels smooth and precise, and the first stage is VERY light, though the second stage is a bit heavy. It breaks clean though, and I can probably lighten it up a bit. The butt pad is very nice as well.
Overall I'm very impressed at the price-point. I look forward to putting many more rounds through it, and controlling the rodents around here.
The gun came with a tiny Allen wrench, though the scope mounts have a couple different sizes of Torx bits. So, be prepared with a Torx set when this arrives in the mail.
