Weatherby Select Ammunition is Perfectly Paired with Your Favorite Weatherby Rifle
Weatherby Select Plus ammunition features top-rated projectiles which are used by guides and experienced hunters. A great deal of research and development went into Weatherby's Select Plus Line. Weatherby's goal during the development phase was to create a factory cartridge which is flat shooting, hard hitting, and of course accurate! Weatherby's Select Plus ammunition places you at the top of the food chain as the apex predator. Weatherby Select Plus ammunition features a reloadable brass case.
This ammo utilizes Hammer Custom bullets. These projectiles are made of solid copper which is CNC machined into a purpose-built hunting bullet. Every bullet is measured with a micrometer for absolute consistency. Upon impact, the hollow point design creates devastating expansion to drop your prey in its tracks. Simply put, this is one of the finest hunting rounds on the American market today.

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 6.5 Precision Rifle Cartridge (PRC) is one of the newest cartridges from a major manufacturer, introduced by Hornady in 2017. Based on Hornady's .375 Ruger/Ruger Compact Magnum unbelted case, the 6.5 PRC requires a .532-inch bolt face, same as standard belted magnums. With a 2.030-inch case it can be housed in short bolt actions, and case length allows use of long-for-caliber 6.5mm bullets. Obviously it trades on the success of the 6.5mm Creedmoor, and also on the renewed interest in the ranging abilities of the 6.5mm (.264-inch) bullet diameter. Interestingly, ballistics are similar to the old .264 Win Mag introduced back in 1958 with a 140-grain bullet at almost 3000 fps It is thus faster than the Creedmoor and .260 Rem, but much slower than new super-fast 6.5mms like the 26 Nosler and 6.5-300 Weatherby Mag With its modern case design it is seems almost certain to find favor with the growing number of long-range shooters!
