Taylor/Uberti 1860 Army Charcoal Blue Finish .44 Caliber 8" Barrel Cap And Ball Bp Revolver
The 1860 Army was adopted as U.S. government ordnance because of its lighter weight, improved balance, and superior ballistics. This 6-shot, .44 caliber, round-barrel percussion revolver became very popular with mounted troops and went on to be the issue sidearm for the U.S. Army for many years. The Charcoal Blue finish is a delicate over-oxidized bluing applied to the barrel, backstrap, and cylinder. When new it is a bright blue color and over time with use it will naturally patina to a soft grey. The aging process takes a long time with this finish, but is very beautiful. A conversion cylinder is available for this model that is a drop-in conversion to smokeless .45LC/.45Schofield ammunition.
