Underwood .458 SOCOM 300 Grain Ballistic Tip Spitzer Ammunition, 20 Rounds Per Box Md: 415
Nosler Ballistic Tip Hunting bullets have been trusted by hunters for nearly 25 years. They are precision made and individually inspected for the utmost quality which translates to incredible accuracy with every shot. The heavy jacket base prevents bullet deformation during firing and holds together at extreme velocities as well as a poly-carbonate tip that resists deformation in the magazine and initiates expansion upon impact. The bullet’s mid-section keeps it together at any velocity until impact, and a uniform, pure lead core eliminates possible imbalance and erratic flight caused by air pockets.
As with all of Underwood Ammo™ rounds, we utilize flash suppressed powder so that your vision will not be compromised if it becomes necessary to use your firearm in low light.
While taking advantage of our state of the art testing equipment, this high performance ammunition is field tested using popular, real firearms that our customers are most likely to own out in the real world with all the elements you would experience. If for some reason Underwood Ammunition fails to meet performance expectations, we stand by our product 100% and will make sure the customer is satisfied with every purchase.
This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in box primed, reloadable brass cases.

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 458 SOCOM (for Special Operations Command) was designed by Marty ter Weeme in the late 1990s, originally intended to provide massive knockdown power with heavy bullets at subsonic velocities, for use in the M16 platform with suppressor. It is based on the rebated-rim 425 Westley Richards case shortened to 1.575 inches and necked to take a .458-inch bullet. The 458 SOCOM has not been officially adopted by the military, but AR15 upper receivers are available for multiple sources and CorBon offers a variety of loads, supersonic for hunting with bullets from 250 to 450 grains; and subsonic with a 600-grain bullet at 950 feet per second. Like the 450 Bushmaster and 500 Beowulf, the 458 SOCOM offers large-caliber power in the AR platform, offering short-range capability for larger game. —
