The Harper's Ferry Was The First Flintlock Pistol Requested By The American Government To Equip The Navy. It Is Named after One Of The Most Picturesque villages In Virginia, Where An armory And An Arsenal Were Built, then destroyed During The Civil War, Without Ever Being rebuilt.
The Stock Is Made From Walnut With Brass garnitures. The Barrel Is chromed And Glazed Outside. Case Hardened Lock.
The 1807 U.S.Harper's Ferry flintlock pistol is used today on the insignia of the U.S. Army Military Police Corps
These pistols were produced as flintlock pistol intended for field duty and was issued as an Officer's pistol in the early 1800's.
